Ysgol Caer Elen

Leading by example

When Ysgol Caer Elen opened its doors in 2019 as the newest through-school in Wales, the hype was huge.

The brand new school, which cost around 4 million pounds to build, was geared towards a truly bilingual education to children in West Wales right through their formative years in education, from age 3 to 16. It was also well prepared for the new curriculum in Wales, and contacted Eduview early on to create a whole new, vibrant prospectus to reflect the exciting changes to the education system.

Ysgol Caer Elen have been a leader in what the education of the future can look like.

From their contemporary, striking new building to the latest educational software and equipment. For this reason, they needed innovative representation to ensure that prospective parents understood the way this progressive school works. For the team at Eduview, representing this forward-thinking school was a challenge that we couldn’t resist. As a company, we also use the latest in media technology to provide the most up-to-date solutions for out customers.

Media:

We used modern drone technology to capture the vastness of this two-tier school site, as well as its extensive grounds, to demonstrate the area, position, and safety of the site to parents. Our activity photography was particularly appealing to the team at Caer Elen, so that they can demonstrate how much fun the pupils have in the classroom, as well as showing off their clean, inviting classrooms.

And for parents who are unable to make it to open days, our unique virtual tour of Caer Elen’s sleek corridors and main areas is so realistic, you’ll feel like you’ve visited in person!

Copywriting:

While prospectuses need to be informative, this prospectus needed to demonstrate how this school was growing from strength to strength. Demonstrating how Ysgol Caer Elen were embracing the new curriculum was important, as was relaying this information in both English and Welsh for the entire school community to understand.

Design:

we knew that this progressive school with its contemporary building needed a fresh and vibrant prospectus design. Using the school’s dynamic logo design as a base to demonstrate the school’s core values, we laid out the information cleanly and clearly, with pops of colour to express the excitement and individuality of this new school’s plans for progression.

From the use of modern fonts to a fantastic paper finish, each element of the design was carefully curated to create a clean, contemporary feel reflective of this young school.
